   Fuck, fuck and fuck. Could he get anymore strung out? Of course he could, and it just so happened to be with a lost young woman. This was going to go over so well tomorrow morning when half the town already discusses it over their coffee and the morning news. He was being helpful right? Right, he fucking hoped at least. She just needed a ride, but people in this town talked even if they knew him and knew his girlfriend; nothing entertained these old bitches in this town more than tearing apart others. 

                 “ I’m gonna go into the gas station alright, I’m gonna get you a water and then you’re gonna tell me where you need to head okay? “ 

                 “ Sugar, you okay? “ 

         Oh calm your spirits, is what treads across her mind as her gaze catches sight of a younger girl lingering out near the back of the studio. They’d finished shooting the nightly news and now Lauren wasn’t due back for a while, and as she rested a cigarette on her lips the air caught a awful chill that made her guts clench. 

            “ Hey darlin’, can you hear me? You lookin’ for someone in particular? “

Faith takes Rori's hands in her own, holding them firmly.

"I know how easy it is to pass all the blame onto yourself, trust me. But that does not make it true."

She released one of the woman's hands, leaning over to pick a flower from a patch of clover, and tucked it behind Rori's ear.

"It hurts, and it's not going to stop hurting. Not for a very long time or maybe for forever. But it isn't your fault. They made their own choices, not you. All we can do when we find ourselves in that pit is keep going. It takes baby steps to get back out, and it'll be a long road but it'll be worth it.

and then you'll look back and realize how strong you've become, and how proud you should be of yourself for surviving."
