"When a brother acts insanely, he is offering you an opportunity to bless him. His need is yours. You need the blessing you can offer him. There is no way for you to have it except by giving it. This is the law of God, and it has no exceptions."

Pop-up restaurant: A small group of colleagues and I put on a special evening for a couple who happen to be leaders in our organization.

Since the start of the pandemic, they've been stuck in the Philippines unable to return to their country of service because of travel restrictions. But instead of moping and complaining, they've been an incredible gift to the rest of us in so many ways. So to celebrate them, we set up a mini restaurant for two by converting one room of our team center into a fine dining space - complete with a five-course meal, dinner music, candles and even a maître-d.

We all played different roles: I had the privilege to design and cook up the meal. But of course with gratitude to the others who helped with some prep and the clean up. Each course was served separately, so when the couples' entrées were finally served, the rest of us sat down to enjoy the same dishes, family style.
