It's unexpected. Rouge didn't even know she was in their dimension, let alone that she'd been invited to this gala. Foreign dignitaries are no rare sight at an event like this, but with Sol being in a different dimension there doesn't seem to be any good reason for Soleanna to establish good diplomatic relations with the empire.

Then again, maybe it's just for prestige. Having an Imperial Princess show up at your charity gala is certainly a good look. Rouge would probably have invited her too, if she were in charge of the event.

Whatever the case may be, it could work out in Rouge's favor. Why should she settle for a boring gem from one of Soleanna's elite when she can get something much more precious? The rarest of gems, not just from a different country or continent, but an entirely different dimension. Something nobody else has gotten their hands on. Something unique, rare, powerful.

Rouge sighs and sets her phone away for the moment to finish readying herself for the party. As nice as the idea is, she knows it's not worth the risk; while she might get away with it if she's sneaky enough, it won't end well if she gets caught. Blaze is more than a match for her. What's more, Blaze knows her. Even if Rouge doesn't leave a single peace of evidence, hers is the first door Blaze will come knocking at if she realizes her jewelry is missing.

Rouge decides to put it out of her mind for now. She's not the type of girl to want things; she's the kind who gets them, no matter what. Thinking about the things she can't have will do her no good.
