She couldnât help how excited she was about this whole camping operation. There were nerves, but sheâd done nothing like this in years. She wandered around the campsite, smiling at students she didnât know as she picked out an apple from a big crate of fruit they had near the main campfire. All the activities were interesting her and she was incapable of choosing which she wanted to do first. It had resulted in her staring longingly at the fencers, something sheâd not touched in a long time and wanted to. She was fighting her own mind, part of her telling herself it was unladylike and unsuitable for her. Sheâd already settled for denim shorts and a tshirt sheâd tied in the front around her waist.Â
She sat down and watched the group as they fought each other, their form was fancy and based on the sport. Zelda wasnât sure sheâd look right next to that, but she wanted to try anyway. Her manicured fingers stroked along the rapierâs handle, and a tall guy ambled over to her. âCome on sweetheart, give it a go.âÂ
âOh, I donât know,â She chuckled, brushing it off while she still attempted to make her mind up.Â
âOh come on, Iâll go easy on you babe. Gentle. We can work up to the rest.â He said lowly, giving a sleazy look to a friend. It wasnât even clever, it made her want to roll her eyes.Â
âYeah, Iâm not sure.â She replied, shrugging her shoulders. He squat down in front of her and put his hand on her knee, something she did not approve of in the slightest, and something that used to result in a broken nose.Â
âDonât worry, Iâll take good care of you.â He told her, giving her a squeeze. She gave a soft smile, making up her mind that she would do this, even without their proper form, and sheâd teach him not to touch her again.Â
âOkay,â She nodded, letting him help her up and fit her in the protective gear even though she didnât need it. Zelda gripped her sword and pressed the point into the ground. It was a hell of a lot lighter than the ones she was used to, but it would do.Â
âAlright, so Iâm going to make a jab at you and youâre going to stop it.â She nodded and said she understood, and when he made the jab she knocked it away, jumped forward on her right foot and stabbed him in the stomach. He laughed it off and said it was good initiative, but he looked slightly more steely. âLetâs try a different move.âÂ
He took a swipe at her immediately, trying to get back his win, but she blocked it. Zelda smirked, shrugged her shoulders at him and after that he went hard, throwing attack after attack at her, swords clashing together, but she was blocking every one and pushing him back to the boundary lines. She pushed away another attack and stabbed him in the heart, giving another satisfied smile.Â
