Valax not really knowing what Fun is in the Diamond scene where you cuddle for warmth made me think of the PERFECT scene

Is it just me, or did this character feel like someone who was supposed to be something later but then became kind of forgotten?
Unless I'm forgetting something, she never appears again or is even mentioned
For one thing, she looks like she's supposed to be special. Like, you have the Common Normal Folk looks, and then you have Important Character looks.
Secondly, how does she have this ancient weapon created by beings no longer residing in that realm with material from their home? And why is she so willing to just toss it to someone in a bar challenge?
And then right after, she vanishes into thin air. Kind of literally because wheb we turn back to her she's gone.
I thought she might pop up later. And when that didn't happen, I thought maybe in the third book. But this is the only time she ever shows up, and she's never mentioned again.
She doesn't even look like she belongs at the tavern. She looks too formal compared to all the other characters we see.
Who are you, where did you come from, why did you have that staff, why did you toss it to someone else so willingly with a smile, and where did you go? Are you a noble? A sort of god? A different entity? A ghost?
