Batch 18 | Black Tea Cider | Brew day

More tea.

I’m basically doing the same thing as batch 16. This time I’m calling it Black Tea Cider.

Ingredients

3 qt apple juice

1 cup black tea

3/4 cup sugar

2 cups water

S-04 English ale yeast

I took a pH reading and found the acidity was a little bit high, which is why I added water. OG of 1.053. Fermentation took off.

Simple stuff. Just a one gallon batch. But I will apply what works here to the upcoming turbo cider. And I am confident I will enjoy drinking it.
