regardless of where you are in the world there is a camra on you at all times, even right now while youre on your phone. when civil disobedience and acts of protest are being punished more and more by the day you want to make sure that these camras tracking you are not effective. the UK government has been using facial reconision software in all urban centres and the US has a database of all photos of you that have ever been posted, not just on social media, photos from your highschool website, venmo accounts and even workplaces. these databased are used to connect evidence of a "crime" to a face, and the crimes being heavily investigated recently have been largely connected to groups protesting the isreali genocide and ICE in the USA.

what is black block? black block is essencially a uniform for protest that ensures that you are unrecognisable. black block clothing is intentionally generic, as even the smallest item like beaded shoelaces can be used as identifying evidence. black block is most effective when done by multiple people but when acting solo it helps avoid being identifyable. black block can however look suspicious when leaving the scene of a "crime" so it is worthwhile to have layers that you can shed

what to wear?

• plain black full length athletic trousers

• plain black t shirt

• fully zipped plain black hoodie (can be disgarded later outside of view of cameras)

• plain black comfortable shoes, preferably from a primark, wallmart ect. so that they are common and not identifiable

•covid mask/snood/ski mask to cover face (!disgard when exiting scene out of view of cameras)

•black beanie/black hair covering

these items must all be entitely plain and generic, you want to be entirely unrecognisable. avoid wearing makeup and having exposed hair, nobody cares if you look hot at an action, what matters is your effectiveness. many people like the idea of being an identifiable cool political figure at marches, especially those who see it as part of a alternative lifestyle. this egotism is how to get you and your comrades arrested.

I have realized something even more fucked up about this dude. All this time I thought he dressed like that to blend in with prepared organized protestors but his actions were SO MUCH more insidious.

He has discredited people coming to protests dressed in a way that will keep themself safe. This guy and everyone else coming in a Hong Kong costume that's just there to start a race war are trying to take away our ability to protect ourselves by wearing the correct equipment.

The reasoning for wearing all of this gear to a protest where we're regularly getting gassed and shot at is 100% sound and does not inherently indicate a white nationalist trying to pose as "antifa."

Dont let them take away our ability to protect ourselves, stay safe but stay on the alert. Dont assume someone dressed like this is there for nefarious reasons based on the outfit alone. It is still the most effective gear to bring.
