modding is going well.

Probably still a long way to go, but! Very excited!! He's coming along pretty well, if i do say so myself. It's kind of staggering to me how different even these minor changes make him look. The top head is the unmodified sculpt
He still needs pants and painting but I didn't get around to it yet since I wanted to make the head work first. ANYHOW. I wanted to share some pictures of my first ever neck mod!
The right picture, on the left, you see how it looked without mods. The tungsten head has a neck circumference of 5.5cm according to the creator's display post. I thought the body was around 6cm but it actually ended up more close to 6.5-7cm!
I could put it on but it just sat up there super high and could barely move. I knew I'd have to try my hand at this kind of mod because the body head combo is perfect to me. So I took out the dremel and went at it!
This gives me a lot of hope for the much bigger doll with a much smaller neck difference. And I also can say - it wasn't nearly as scary as I thought. Just take precautions for the dust and go slow with the tool ;U;
Rune's mods are done and sanded, just attempting to blend them better now.
airbrushing did not go super smoothly but it's good enough to carry on for now. I think i'm going to wait for the paint to cure, and then faceup to see him, but once it was all a uniform color i can tell i didn't do enough blending sanding on one cheek (i shot around it here lol). The airbrush i've got is just barely powerful enough to get a fine spray, but it does work so there's that.

Spent about an hour yesterday taking my dremel to Vergil’s Raccoon Doll body to make the neck thinner so his head fits on it better.
I'm trying to figure out how I want my new bonbon galaxy mermaids to look! Since they both came with two different face plates I decided to modify two to have open eyes.
Just now fully realized every single one of this Zaoll's toes have been modded separate, and very nicely done.
