Mandolin - Who inspires you?

My grandma definitely because she’s such an amazing woman. I’m also inspired by my French teacher, my therapist, and my guidance counselor along with a few historical women.

Tuba - How/Why did you join Tumblr?

I first joined tumblr when I was in 7th grade and I had just recently changed schools. I mostly just joined a roleplay group that some kids at school started. I’ve bounced around from account to account until September of 2015 when I created this one.

Didgeridoo - Tell a funny story!

My great-grandmother once had a Sharpay that she fed too much and it lost all it’s wrinkles. My grandpa would yell at her for feeding the dog at the dinner table and now whenever my uncle brings over his dog, he’s the one that feds it from the table.

Proud moments: 

Whenever I made the honor roll back in standard education. Although it’s really structured so whiter, more affluent kids get it, and while I’m not affluent, I’m white. And it really seems to be only slightly faster than normal courses with a bit more work; and for a few years, I kinda gritted my grades. So, eh. 

Um, back when I was a boy scout, I got my rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, and archery merit badges in the same week at some scout camp - I think it was Grizzly? I wasn’t the best of the best, but I made it. However, it’s been years since I have even touched any of those weapons, so my aim would be rather off now.

When my text post about changing the calendar became famous. I thought it was rather funny that some people said I should be the president for that. Throwing aside that a change of calendar isn’t fully a political act, and the fact that I was obviously unqualified to be president when I made the post, I don’t agree with the republican system; I believe in a directly or radically democratic, fully socialist system, where all nation states would no longer exist. It’d be kind of funny to have an anarchist teenager as president of the united states.

Random talents/hobbies:

I love the outdoors, particularly forests. Campouts are something I love. I even chose a tent as a prize at my school’s graduation party, in anticipation of going on at least one camping trip in the summer! But I never did manage to go on one. Fishing, hiking, just enjoying nature... I miss that.

Reading. I don’t read as much as I should, though. I’m often online because I want to talk to my friends on tumblr; and yet I hardly message people first, because I don’t want to be an inconvenience. Whoops. Anyway, I love reading history, sci-fi, fantasy, poetry, horror, mythological/religious writings, historical fction, and realistic fiction.

Languages. Again, even though so many resources are on the internet, it’s the internet that arrests my learning.

I played trumpet in middle school, but I never owned a trumpet. I had to rent one from the school each year that I was in the band. If I had a trumpet, I might like to re-learn.

Things I know a lot about:

I once would have said history, but I’ve forgotten a lot of what I knew, due to wasting a lot of my time, and I was never a full historian, either.

I don’t know, actually, if I can say there’s anything I know a lot about.

Guilty pleasure TV show?

I love Star Trek: The Next Generation, and The X-Files, but I haven’t watched either in a long time. Also I never finished The X-Files.

Smiles: What is the greatest compliment you have ever received? What is a compliment you wish someone would give you?

Well, once I had to take a bus to go see my friend a few hours away. I got to talking to someone, and during the conversation he inferred that I was very smart, and that intelligence is sexy. Normally, that’d throw me, but we’d been talking for a while and he was very kind and seemed sincere and not pushy at all. Like he genuinely meant it as a compliment for compliment’s sake. That was the best compliment I’ve ever gotten.
