I spent two days on this, which is much longer than I normally would. Primarily because it was hard af to mix. This is probably one of the least surprising musical conclusions because it fit the image in a way that was… idk, obvious? I think maybe going forward I should try out some less obvious choices. My guitar chops have withered a bit, but at this point I don’t care too much.

@bichcarito‘s retro gal OC inspired this, and I love the color and style so much.

My wife unknowingly chose the art for me to sketch to. We talked about how 3/4 has a very “rolling” effect rhythmically, and it match the landscape, and she said it sounds very adventurous, so overall, I think I did alright. Also, horses remind me of dorian... I know, weird, but also, kind of the correct choice, wouldn’t you say?

Your art is wonderful and you inspired a pretty neat musical sketch

It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a musical sketch, but I thought I would dust off the cobwebs. I’ve acquired some better tools for my craft, and wanted to try writing a simple orchestration with strings. Not sure how good it is but I think it fits the mooD. Kelogsloops is a brilliant artist, and I literally just full screen the image, loaded up a digital string library, and just vibes, idk..
