Of Course
@atlasthemayor D6 with Bittydex, pretty please?
A3: “Of course I'll marry you. You're my soulmate.”
D6: At A Garden.
Dex was never one to really one for big, all out dates. He never really had the means for anything crazy anyway.
But today? He saved up and made sure everything was perfect.
He brought Bitty to a restaurant, one with a menu that was southern food. It wasn't fancy but it was the best place to bring Bitty.
After eating, Dex took Bitty to a garden. Why? Because gardens are pretty. And a garden is easy for Chowder to hide to film.
And there was some privacy. He didn't need a big flashy moment where the world could see. He just needed Bitty. (And a friend to document for Mrs. Bittle and his own Mom.)
“Eric,” Dex said, putting a hand on Bitty's shoulder.
“Hm? What's up, honey?” Bitty looked up at him.
Dex could hear his heart racing. It was now or never.
“I know we have had a complex relationship with a lot of ups and downs… and a lot of work to understand each other and a lot of perfectly understanding too well.”
“Yeah, we have,” Bitty smiled and Dex took a breath. He could not get flustered and chicken out.
“Bitty.. Eric…” Dex kneeled down and pulled the ring box out of his pocket.
With a deep breath he asked, “Will you marry me?”
He didn't expect Bitty to start to faint after a loud squeal. Dex caught him.
“Eric? Are you okay? Love?” Dex asked, concerned.
“I'm fine, I just got overwhelmed there for a moment.”
Dex laughed. “So is that a yes? Will you marry me?”
“Of course I'll marry you. You're my soulmate.” Bitty said as he kissed Dex.
