Another senseless act of gun violence happened just two days ago...and some of y'all still want me to bring kids into this gun-happy country???
And how predictable of some adults voicing their main concerns over the children when a tragic event like that mass shooting happens. "At least the kids were safe." "We need to protect the children!" "I don't want my kids to witness that kind of senseless violence in person!!" They're all valid concerns, don't get me wrong, but innocent adults should also be safe! IIRC, the lone fatality from that shooting was an adult--where's the concern over them? That adult was someone's friend or sibling, and now they're gone, but all the Helen Lovejoys in the world will still keep parroting "think about the children!!" I'm gonna say it: Adult Lives Matter Too!
Oh, and they very first thing the media remembers the victim as? A mother. Like fucking clockwork.🙄
The parents of my generation SUCK
***BITCH RANT ALERT****BITCH RANT ALERT***
Of the Millennials who had the nerve to blindly follow the outdated LifeScript and pop out our current Zoomers/Alpha kids, some of y'all SUCK as parents point blank period.
Millennials (and some young Gen-Xers), your "gentle parenting" isn't doing shit to correct your rowdy kid. You think they're gonna be the "hope of the future", but their media literacy skills are in the shitter (must be all that "news" they get from TikTok), and your kid also bumped into me and didn't say sorry and you didn't care. You give them cell phones and tech shit to keep them quiet when that's just gonna make them soulless tech addicts in the long run, and your little ones haven't learned all their ABCs yet. You cave into their Drunk Elephant demands at Sephora (when they shouldn't be using DE as skincare at their young age) and also let them fuck up the store's testers. You let them scream and run amok in places like museums and restaurants. You ruin former adult-only spaces like wineries and breweries and expose them to your alcohol addiction, which also shows you can't parent sober 100% of the time. (What's next--you bring your kids to strip clubs?!) You don't give them headphones while they blast noisy trash from their cell phones in public. You monetize your kid(s) on your social media for your benefit and those precious followers/Likes. You have no problem with their scratch-the-surface aspirations (wanting them to be influencers, TikTok "stars", etc.) while teachers and nurses continue to quit in droves. (Who will take care of your old sick ass or your Bratleigh when there's a nursing shortage down the line?) And you also gave them shit names you thought was oh-so special but it's just Carly/Michael spelled differently. You say you're 29 but you look a rough 48, and YOU'RE the one who needs Drunk Elephant more than your ten-year-old. Unless your kid ditches the cell phone & social media and chooses a profession of actual, lasting substance, your legacy is how you bring up your kids. And so far, it's pathetic.
Day 74
It’s kind of funny, for the longest time we’ve all talked about getting back to ‘normal’. To get out and do things like they were before. My parents are going to travel out of the country for the first time in who knows how long.
And work is slowly trying to transition everyone back to on site. Even though I’ve been doing it once a week for several months, I will admit it is exhausting. The worst part is, I’m not even the one driving and I find this exhausting. To top it all off, I have to do this twice a week, or three times a week because next week is an all staff meeting.
I know that there is a sense that those who make these sorts of decisions feel that we’re all more effective for being together in person more often. Honestly, I don’t feel more effective.
I’m more tired because I have to get up earlier to take into account the travel time and I’m not even… really done with my day until I’m back home.
I’m more uncomfortable because no matter how many desk checks are done, the set up isn’t going to be meant for me. The chair is not designed for me, I have fucking short legs. And even with the accommodations made for the washroom, it doesn’t remove the fact I’m balancing medical supplies in a place that isn’t my own.
I’m more stressed because I have to plan to be on site. I have to plan my lunch, my medical supplies, my computer, and overall my day to do this. It’s hard to eat healthy when you have to take it with you, nevermind breakfast. If I don’t manage to get a ride, and have to take myself, I don’t know what I’m doing for breakfast. That’s a 6 a.m. wake up call to eat breakfast at home.
And that doesn’t even take into account the fact that I’m sharing an office again. I have to relearn how to talk more softly, while ignoring the other person who may be talking on the phone.
The worst part about it is, I don’t even know why I’m on site that often. No one needs me in person. No one talks to me except the other admin assistant, which has nothing to do about work unless you’re complaining about it. The only reason why I agreed to be on site at first for once a week, is because I am the only admin assistant who still deals with hardcopy paperwork. So when I did just once a week, I was happy with it.
Because the thing is, the thing I enjoy most about my job is knowing why I do something. Why it is important. I don’t know why I have to be on site more than once a week, and so I take very little enjoyment from it.
That is my bitch for today.
Since this is my page I’m just going to bitch for a second, people genuinely confused the fuck out of me. Why they fuck are you going to say that you feel one way but the go and do something that completely counteracts those words. If you going to do it, then do it but if you’re truly not interested then don’t lie and lead people on. Like what the fuck??

So I ordered some vinyl records. Annnnnnd uh well, only one came. The one that the seller sent via UPS. Came 3 days after he shipped it. The other ones are going through USPS and they were truckin' along just fine until they got to PA. Once in PA, they've just kinda... stagnated. Been there, some of them, for a week now. I'm so anxious. Some people have reported that their priority mail hasn't gotten to their recipients for weeks, up to a month or better. I'm not going to let this affect my rating on the eBay sellers though. It's not their fault at all. I wish they'd have considered USPS's crisis and went another shipping method but I still can't fault them for the shipping time. They sent the bitches out no longer than 2 business days after my purchases, and had not been for the mail situation, it'd be fine. Hell, I still plan on ordering more records- -not from eBay as I found the Puscifer ones for a little cheaper on a record site, but I don't expect them to get to me lightning fast unless they use something else. I just hope it doesn't take months... I want to decorate my place with them. I love music and it's all I think about. Album covers are so cool, and I like the sizes of the cases. Perfect for wall mounts, or a magazine rack- -which I have. It's not in use atm, but I got it specifically for my records. RN I only have Eat the Elephant and Mer De Noms. EtE I got as a birthday present last year. It's been in storage since we moved, so it'll be nice to pull it out again. I actually got a whole set. Came with the CD, a themed deck of playing cards, a weird little uh, thingie that you place on your phone that displays a video in 3D and a download code for the album. So it came in 3 media formats. Which is nice. I hope the USPS situation is healed soon. I like ordering stuff, lol. Hate in person shopping. It's so hard to find things I like.
So, I decided to take the Extended Zodiac test and apparently, I’m a Scorlo. Not really sure I’m happy with this because with another series of tests I’ve done in the past, like 2011 and just a few weeks ago, those ones said I was a Derse dreamer and Blood-bound. I rarely ever saw anyone say they got Blood, so I thought I was a tiny bit unique but I guess I was wrong there. Now I got to rethink my planet name, shit. I spent 2 hours on that damn thing.
Well, this is a little stressful...
So I bought a New 3DS from a seller who actually lives in the same state as I, and so I assumed it was a great idea to buy from them. Unfortunately, I got an email saying that they cancelled my order because “the price was not set correctly by the seller”. The fuck does that mean? I mean, it's clear what it means, but I really can't believe that they decide to do this to me right before it's been a week since I bought the item. I knew something was up, because usually, sellers will ship an item at least a business day or two after I buy it, but I did not get such notification all week. That, and I bought from an inexperienced seller, which I'll never do again.
I think I’m gonna just have to buy it again from someone else, despite not wanting to. I currently own an original 3DS and the L and R buttons no longer work. That, and I've had it for almost 4 years, so it is time for an upgrade anyway.
