These Bison Burgers are a great way to enjoy the tasty and lean flavors of bison. They taste great and are great for a hearty meal. The cheddar cheese, fresh vegetables, and toppings make the burger experience even better.
Ingredients: 3 Bison burger patties 6oz each. Salt and pepper to taste. 3 hamburger buns. 3 slices of cheddar cheese. Lettuce leaves. Sliced tomatoes. Sliced red onions. Pickles. Ketchup and mustard for condiments.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. Season the bison burger patties with salt and pepper on both sides. Place the patties on the grill or griddle and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or adjust the time to your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt the cheese. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill until they are slightly golden. Once the burgers are cooked to your liking and the cheese is melted, remove them from the grill. Assemble your bison burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a bison patty with melted cheese. Top with sliced tomatoes, red onions, and pickles. Spread ketchup and mustard on the top bun, then place it on top of the burger. Serve your Bison Burgers hot and enjoy!
