I’m not saying it’s canon but I’ve noticed some things…
For one there’s obviously the episode where bismuth is introduced…
As the other small hints in that episode… but there’s other things people haven’t noticed, like this quote from bismuth,
“I outfitted the entire rebellion.”
Does that mean…
She made all these swords for Pearl?
Probably. But wait there's more...
Pearl has an extensive knowledge about weapons. She describes rose's sword using key words to name parts of a sword and it's design.
Also...
Pearl is a great builder! She knows how to build very well. Bismuths are used on homeworld to build things. You can see where this is going.

I hope when Bismuth and Lapis meet Bismuth apologizes and asks what Lapis has done ever since then peridot butts in joking "Well she tried to kill a lot of people and WILLINGLY broke away my favourite item in this universe, oh and she imprisoned Jasper in a fusion under the sea!" and then Bismuth just gets mad at Lapis with the motto "You were imprisoned and almost killed for 4000 years, but then you decided to imprison Jasper and so many others?" and then Bismuth just goes off at the Crystal Gems for forgiving Lapis yet being so hard on Jasper with the Malachite situation.
Or something like that.
