as i was thinking of making this drawing i realized 1) im pretty sure ive literally never drawn birchstar and thundertwirl together LOLL and 2) BIRCHSTAR HAS NEVER. IN THE YEAR AND A HALF BIRCHCLAN HAS EXISTED. GOTTEN A FULLBODY RERFERENCE OR DRAWING OF ANY KIND FROM EITHER ME OR MY FRIEND
some doodles of what my friend and i are calling "old birchclan" (i.e. birchclan before the plague)!
first image is baby frostkit and palepaw, and the second image is fernkit (~3-ish moons) with his friends rushpaw (the cream cat) and splinterpaw (the brown cat)
palefire joined birchclan pretty close to when froststar was born, because her birth is basically what started the clan in the first place (i might elaborate a bit more on that lore later) -- they were there at the beginning because sandytoes (who was their mother) was an old friend of birchstar's
idk how many drawings i'll do for these guys but there are definitely some more characters from old birchclan that i want to draw together!
happy 1 year of birchclan (in comic form)!!!!!!!!!!!!! i honestly cant believe the comic has been able to go on this long LOL, it's been so much fun writing and drawing about these silly gay cats and being able to share them with people
tysm again to my friend @citrixesoda who made everything happen, first by being the only person willing to play this clan with me, then by helping with plotlines and characters, and now by helping me colour all the pages

Panel 1: Sandytoes passed away in the night. Lynx determines that the cause of death was old age; it was simply her time.
Panel 2: Ferneyes is passing by the nursery when Sandwhistle spots him from inside, dragging him in to play with Loudkit with her. Ferneyes, being put on the spot, agrees, and ends up having a weirdly good time.
Panel 3: Sandwhistle goes to the medicine cat den to check up on Ferneyes after he gained a small injury, but Ferneyes, very much not wanting to see her while already in pain, snaps at him to go away.

i cant believe it's been a year of birchclan..............
one and a half of the next comic parts are done (gonna finish 3 in full before beginning to post again) so have some new refs while you wait! planning on making refs for most if not all the birchclan cats cause my friend is helping me with flat colours
