And it hurt me more than the movie I was watching. I'd watched this birdie grow up and with the author. I missed her even tho I had never met her.

Then it made me realize that I could lose my own pets.

I lost a kitten last year and it hurt so much. I know the pain of losing a friend who gives you their all. I never want to feel that pain again. But I will. 4 times at least. Probably more.

Having a pet is hard. But it's wonderful. But all things must end. And that's hard. Sometimes it's the hardest part.

Anyways I'm going to go hug all my pets. Chip is my baby. She'll be my friend forever.

Stormy is my stabby baby. I love her to the ends of time.

Smores is my queen. I love her so much. She's been with me so long.

I also have a turtle named Kevin, she's not very photogenic, but I still love her. Honestly, she's survived a dozen flights of stairs, 3 cats, a bird and about 16 kids. She'll probably be here until I eventually die.

This is a honey badger. I based a DnD character loosely off one. Her name is Melli.

But my point is, love your pets. And when you lose them, mourn. They're family. Sometimes they're more of a family than your biological one.
