ever since they first started dating, remus and sirius were constantly sharing a bed. usually sirius’, because this one was the most far away from james and peter’s beds.

when they fell asleep everything was just perfect, because their legs were tangled and sirius’ and was on remus’ waist and his breath on the back of his neck and it’s like their bodies were meant to fit together.

until the times remus had really intense dreams. usually he didn’t move much when he fell asleep (sirius was the one to move), but when he had these dreams which filled up his entire body, he wasn’t even aware of how much he moved. they were not necessarily bad dreams, so he didn’t wake up sweaty and scared, but one time sirius fell off the bed because remus moved too much.

remus woke up immediately, because sirius let out a scream as he fell to the floor, and at first remus didn’t know what to do, what to think, because what is wrong with sirius, but when his boyfriend stood up remus saw he’s completely fine.

“you almost killed me!” sirius complained and looked at remus, surprised.

“you just fell off the bed, stop being a drama queen,” remus replayed. “come on, it’s the middle of the night.”

sirius didn’t look convinced. “you pushed me off the bed, moony.”

“i was asleep!”

“normal people don’t move in their sleep!”

remus huffed, “in case you forgot, i am not normal people. and anyway, this doesn’t matter. i wasn’t aware of anything. come back to bed now?”

as sirius was lying on the bed, remus rolled over to look at him. he still couldn’t believe his luck, though - he is dating sirius black of all people. the hottest boy at hogwarts (yes, james, he’s hotter than you), the person with the best laughter ever, that one person who could make him roll his eyes and smile every single time he talks.

remus really liked him. he really did. and he was so surprised sirius liked him back somehow. because remus couldn’t think of anything likeable in himself.

“you’re thinking,” sirius said, his face inches from remus’. “what are you thinking about?”

“you, mostly,” remus admitted.

sirius smiled and remus’ heart stopped. “i’m not that interesting, babe.”

remus tried to hide his blush at the nickname. “you are. really.”

sirius tangled his fingers in remus’ hair. “you’re more interesting. and more fun to think of, by the way.”

“you’re always flirty,” remus mentioned.

“i’m just telling the truth.”

“doesn’t mean you’re not flirty.”

“i’m your boyfriend, lupin, let me be flirty.”

remus laughed and leaned in to a kiss. sure, they kissed before, but each kiss was different in its own way. and this one was unique as well, because it was the middle of the night and everyone around them were asleep, and this was so gentle it made remus shiver a bit.
