where to get started with BillkinPP
I don't know how to start, so I'm just gonna do a info(?) dump: I watched The Red Envelope last week and totally fell in love with Billkin and PP and now I want to join the fandom and watch ITSAY but I honestly don't know where to start because I am completely knew to this fandom despite having been listening to ITSAY's OST Skyline for the last 3 years. Like do I need to prepare myself for watching ITSAY in some way, like know their backstory or something because Iheard ITSAY is inspired from their lives? Or can I just dive head-first into the show?
Basically I need an indepth intro to their whole lore and know all the fandom basics and all. Like I'm not asking for any delulu stuff, I just really want to genuinely join the fandom and appreciate them as the amazing artists and humans that they are.
Idk if I'm making any sense right now because I am currently very sleep deprived, but if can understand even an ounce of what I'm trying to say then please help me out 🙏😭
Okay so, after waiting for soooo many months I finally got to watch Marry My Dead Body's Thai adaptation - "The Red Envelope" and omg?! The wait was totally worth it, everyone slayed so hard starting from the very first till the very last second of this movie.
PP Krit was the absolute diva and slayed so hard obviously. I just LOVE him SO MUCH shjsjsksks, he was so good
Now, do I need to say anymore? As yall can already see, P Billkin absolutely DEVOURED. Like yall don't understand the things I felt in that entire dance off scene - it felt so liberating. He was so so so sooooo great like ajaksjsj.
And these two together just. Like. Perfection. Like idek what else to say.
It was beauty.
It was levitating.
It was exhilarating.
It was like a perfect mix of emotions, humour and most importantly, addressing all the issues. As a person who herself is a part of the queer community, I feel that the way they highlighted and addressed all those issues - that people like us have been facing almost everyday in our lives - without forcing some low grade comedy down on it.
In a nutshell, everything came together and just DELIVERED and SERVED.
Now I'll just go back and rewatch it thousand times, don't mind me.
Bonus:
Grandma was the ultimate diva of the show, love her SO MUCH. GRANDMA YOU GO.
If you haven’t watched the red envelope yet! You should
In news that will shock no one but myself, The Red Envelope made me cry just as much as Marry My Dead Body did... I dont know what I was expecting, I know how it ends, but I was still a blubbering mess.
At first, I was worried it was going to be a shot for shot Remake, but they changed plenty enough to keep things interesting. PP and Bilkin killed it, their chemistry was immense, and their comedy chops are no joke. Highly recommend for fans of the original, fans of their ship, and anyone who loves a goofy film with heartbreaking moments and an ending that will emotionally gut you...

I started watching I Promised You the Moon because I saw The Red Envelope a couple of months ago and suddenly felt really fond of PP Krit and Billkin* and was like 'womp womp, I've watched ITSAY and their shorts which are actually just ads, boo hoo, there's nothing left' and then I remembered I hadn't watched I Promised You the Moon! Huzzah!
Anyway, that was an unnecessary preamble, but oh my gosh, this show is breaking my heart into a tiny million little pieces!! I love it so far, but gosh. And it's not the thing you might think it is, but just this achey, melancholy feeling of two people who fell in love at a pivotal and formative moment in their lives and are drifting apart instead of growing together in the next stage.
And it's so beautifully acted and filmed (though in a very different way from ITSAY) and I was worried I'd hate it like a lot of other people seem to, but, yeah, so far I love it
*I liked them before!! But I just felt more fond after TRE, and IDK why
