"tell me about it." cheek is propped against his hand, idly swishing his beer around in its bottle. he's been nursing the same one for as long as she's been here. it isn't that he isn't in the mood to drink, but he'd rather be focused and alert, especially because they don't get a lot of quiet time like this together. izuku waits a beat before green hues flicker over to her, raising a brow.

"no, seriously, tell me about it. i mean, yes, i was agreeing, but i want to hear what's going through your mind. did something happen? you know i'm here for you, no matter when, or why. i'd drop everything to come help." he sits back, lifting the bottle to take a swig.

"do you need to me to shake someone down for you?"

there's a groan that escapes him the moment he's barreled over, back slamming against the ground, arm resting lazily against her back. it takes him a second to realize who exactly it was until he saw a familiar head of blue hair and it makes him roll his eyes⸺fondly, even though he doesn't want it to be.

"you know, you could greet me and tell me you miss me without trying to give me a concussion."

if  izuku  wasn't  so  used  to  her  coming  at  him  with  such  speeds,  he  might  have  moved  out  of  the  way.  as  it  stood,  he  had  to  force  his  body  to  relax  and  not  immediately  go  into  fight  mode  at  the  sight  of  being  charged  at.  instead,  he  stands  his  ground,  accepting  his  fate  as  his  pseudo-sister  latches  onto  him  .  .  .  only  to  lead  him  away.

"again?"  he  asks,  laugh  soft  and  warm  as  he  offers  her  a  kind  smile.  the  young  teacher  doesn't  resist,  emerald  hues  rising  to  examine  the  boba  shop.  well  .  .  .  they  did  have  really  tasty  treats,  and  he  hadn't  been  back  since  the  last  time  they'd  been  here.  "are  you  going  to  try  something  new  this  time?  i  saw  they  had  some  new  flavors,  but  i  wanted  to  wait  until  we  came  together  to  try  them  out."
