You NEED to become a master of the basics. This is why you NEED to understand every single CUE of each exercise in order to maximize its potential and get swole as F***. - This one is one of the most important things (is there anything that isn’t important?) to keep in mind, when performing the bench press: - 🔥SHOULDERBLADES! - ✅ On the left they are adducted & “protected” because pushed in, resulting in pushing out your chest. Together with that, locking them down will bring your chest up, aligning your shoulders with it. Virtually “Rotating your hands externally” (virtually because you can’t really bend the barbell) will just make everything more stable and every upper back’s muscles more tight, giving you the best “way” to start the set. - ❌On the right, nothing of this happens. There’s no tightness, shoulderblades aren’t tucked back & in, which means that your chest isn’t even sticking out as a result.
