Milk and Honey by Jean Genie Chapter 10 - By the Grace of God
“When did you last sleep?”  John asks.
“Dunno," he whispers. Â
“Because of the dreams.”
“No, the dreams are the best part of my whole miserable existence.  It’s waking up that I avoid.”
“Tell me what it’s like when you wake up.”
John’s tone is firm.  He wants to know, needs to know.
“Wake up so full for you.  Aching with it, wet with it.”
He instinctively clutches Paul even tighter, and he can feel a shudder go through John’s body.Â
“Then let’s help you find that dream and see how different waking from it will be this time.”
