I used to like the Korean market that Big Square replaced. It was the only Korean market in the area (the next closest ones are in La Canada and La Crescenta) and it was the largest, too. Big Square is an Armenian market. While there are others in this area, Big Square is the largest. It’s a full size supermarket, with a bakery, fast casual restaurant (Hot Pan) specializing in shawarma, floral counter, jewelry store and a home goods section.

The produce is cheaper than your typical Ralph’s and Vons but definitely not cheaper than Super King. The meat counter is huge (they have kabobs) and you’ll find housemade deli salads and dips in the refrigerated case (e.g., hummus, baba ghanough, sarma, dolma, tabbouli, beet salad, oliveh salad, etc.). The bakery has plenty of cakes and sweet treats but not much bread but they have more bread (from other bakeries) inside the supermarket. I don’t think the jewelry store is open for business yet.

* Big Pan: The chicken shawarma was a little unusual since they smothered it in two sauces and cut it into big chunks, but it was still tasty and affordable ($9.99 a plate). I wish they had a potent garlic sauce.

The aisles are wide and the store was clean.

We didn`t stop there… before arriving at our accommodation, we visited Tâmpa Hill which has hidden a wonderful insight view of Brașov City, for that you have to take the cablecar and then walk around 10 minutes to see this:

It was just launch time and we had already seen a lot. We left our luggages at the half board and headed to the old centre of the city. I forgot to mention that it was something that I enjoyed so much because I had my cousin by my side – who also loves to photograph everything in her way – just like me. We split from the group and went for a solo walk to relax, discover and admire the impresive architecture.

We surely spent a delightful evening after which we met with our coleagues and went to Rope Street, the narrowest one in Europe. At its end, a little museum was waiting to present us contemporary art and a few more.

We had some rest the night after and then, before leaving the city, we had one more stop at Aventura Park Brașov. Not only it had some daring tracks to follow through the forest, but for those who didn`t go for it, there was a big place to where you could relax, go on the lake with the hydrobycicles or have a barbeque.

Coffee already drank, we headed to Sibiu, another surprising city… This time, me and my cousin chose to have launch first – bad idea, because I was craving for some fried potatoes and we asked for sauce too, which was awful and so, we didn`t feel so well after. We were lucky that the sorroundings made us feel better so the shooting went on…
