Some start with the big guys

You should all instead be thinking about the Big 5 personality traits model and test, also called OCEAN or CANOE. It was made by psychologists, and relies on actual math. Research showed links between different ways that people were described, i.e. someone described as hard-working was less likely to be called messy and more likely to be called prepared. So you can see which of these descriptions correlate, and thus are probably getting at the same trait. Scientists were able to pare this down into basically 5 traits: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism (this last one is not as bad as it sounds). Tests using the model can give you a quantitative score, rather than just telling you you're extraverted and introverted.
