the little mermaid.
┊♔┊➢ The movie, though it had quivered with a childish sense of alacrity, had acquired just what it needed to pull in anyone watching. It’d been The Little Mermaid, a movie centering around an uppity damsel roaming through seas and constantly coddling into pleasurable adventure. Of course, because it had been disney, and an old film at that, it revolves around some impossible love story that, according to Touko, is so unrealistic and glorified to the point where she can’t even think of it without getting sick to her stomach.
Watching a flickering film mainly produced for children, two sixteen-year-old girls sit side-by-side on a couch that has never felt so comfortable. It was one of those nights, their nights, the nights where there were no boys allowed, ( sorry, touya & cheren. )
For some reason, these nights would occur on the weekends almost always, despite the two girls having already completely annihilated both school and the continuation of it, rather continuing a divergent, more philosophical form of learning; ‘gaining knowledge’. Which, essentially, adds up to a duet of female Pokémon trainers abiding by stupid, elementary rules; ( when they're most-definitely of age to do otherwise. )
So, weekends it had been; and weekends it would stay. An odd tradition that not one of them even thought to question of, ( at least, question aloud ) even though not every weekend could they end up in the same place.
“Bi,” finally will her voice resound, eyes halting to waver from the bright film; for all she knew the blonde could have gone up and left already, ( though, intuition tells her otherwise. ) “-- how're you liking the movie, so far?”
