I think it's best to understand the rhetoric of BHI, spread via Kanye most recently, as a manifestation of Christian supersessionism. It's one of the oldest anti-Jewish doctrines: that Jews no longer exist, Christians are our successors, and we are the "synagogue of Satan."
In a sense it's banal. Just about every ethnicity has a cult of people claiming their ethnicity is the real Jews/Hebrews/Israelites, and this is rooted in something fairly universal to Christianity, the idea that Christians have replaced Jews.

Pale's been getting real scary again! While I was brainstorming what is going to happen next in the story (I've finished 9.5, the ending of which made me shocked beyond belief), in the meantime I thought it'd be fun to do some color coding of the locations featured in Pale! Which so far, not counting realms, have been Kennet and the BHI. I consider the BHI to be coded with blues and purples, and Kennet to be coded with yellows and reds. I also included a bonus sketch of what being an innocent is like in Kennet. Perhaps also a bit of a Montague sketch? I dunno.
