it feels really nice to be writing this.

i know i’ve been quiet again for a little while, and i just wanted to say a gentle sorry for that. life got very full towards the end of uni — lots of deadlines, a very tired brain, and not a lot of space to sit with writing the way i wanted to.

but… i’m on the other side of it now.

uni is finished, everything has been handed in, and for the first time in a while my mind feels a little calmer, a little quieter — and naturally, it’s drifted straight back to them.

to johnny and alli.

because they never really left.

even when i wasn’t writing, they were still there in the background — little snippets of dialogue, moments that could’ve happened, all the soft things they didn’t get enough of, all the misunderstandings that somehow still lead them back to each other.

this space, and this little fandom, still means so much to me. truly. the kindness here, the patience, the way people still care about jalli… it’s something really special.

so thank you for staying. for reading. for giving these two a place to keep living on 💛

i’m easing back into writing now — gently, at my own pace — but i am writing again. and that feels really, really good to say.

i wanted to make a little post because i know things have been a bit quiet from me lately on the fic side, and i just wanted to say a soft little sorry for that.

life has just been very full recently. i’m in my final year of uni, which means a lot of late nights, essays, deadlines, and my brain constantly switching between academic mode and “what if johnny said the wrong thing again and alli misunderstood him” mode.

on top of that i’ve been applying for my master’s in criminology and criminal justice, which is something i’ve dreamed about for a long time. i’ve also been preparing to work in a YOI, which is something that means a lot to me and the kind of work i really want to do going forward. it’s exciting and a little overwhelming at the same time.

so if the jalli fics have been slower lately, please know it’s not because i’ve forgotten them or fallen out of love with them. not even a little bit.

johnny and alli still live permanently in my head. i still think about them constantly. little scenes, dialogue, all the miscommunication chaos, the soft moments they deserved but never got enough of in the show.

this little fandom space means so much to me. every kudos, comment, bookmark, and message genuinely makes my day. knowing there are still people out there who love jalli as much as i do honestly makes me emotional sometimes.

so thank you for being here. thank you for reading. thank you for being patient with me while real life is a little loud right now.
