Canonical information considering Cazador Szarr:
Full or half elf is unknown. [1]
He started in Kozakura [2] and then moved to Baldur's Gate at some point in his life. He's been in Faerun since at least 1204 (Faerun years)/1278 (Kozakuran years) [3][4] but it was probably quite a bit longer than that.
What happens to Cazador in the ending is canonically unknown [5] and therefore can be whatever you want it to be.
He has an enemy named Celia, who is a Nightbringer. [6]
Cazador is a "Lord", which is its own unique subtype of vampire. [7]
His mansion is simply known as the Szarr Palace. [8]
Cazador did not need specifically Astarion in order to complete the ritual [9] and he was invested in Astarion to a seemingly abnormal degree overall. [10] Why he was so focused on him is unknown.
He used a carrot/stick and stick and stick and stick approach with his spawn. [11]
He has, if not friends, at least acquaintances among other vampires. [12]
He seems to find noise particularly irritating. [13]
I'll add more information to this as I find it. Relevant text below the cut.
Morinās misadventures
Last time on Morinās interesting trek through faerun, the group rescued Oliver and thanked and infiltrated the proving grounds of sharās dark justiciars and ended baltahzarās undead reign of experimentation.
this time they kept getting nasty talks from all the rats they met. They also ran into another displacer beast who Morin tried to talk to but instead was lead to a giant spider carcass. Unfortunately it was masked enough that while he knew there was a potion placed on it he had to unfortunately lick the thing to see the displacer beast was being charmed. Unfortunately the orthon who did the charming did not like that and the battle was on.
it was more on when Yugir decided to send the cats and Nessie back to their realm and the team laid a smack down on him and his troops. (Seriously you think the word would have spread). Just knowing Raphael was going to drop by and taking out a small company demons is no joke, the group went back to camp where Raphael was waiting. He revealed the truth about the scars, and astarion made Morin suspicious but Morin did agree to help end the vampire lord. Then Shadowheart convinced the group to let her go through the trials. Luckily in the clone trial, all the bad guys had hats, except Morinā¦. However for some odd reason his version was dressed in red. (Lora: they are glowing and have halos and other effects which one is the bad Shadowheart?
Morin: the one with the hatā¦..
lora: itās hard to see which one has a hat from here?
Sh: the one not yelling at you is the bad one!)
Then it was an annoying drop to your death but wonāt let you fly trial that miffed Morin as Shar involved their cats, noticing a weird pathway Morin found an arcane circle and had a very interesting conversation with a rat. He also found a book and to shadow hearts amusement walked over behind a statue of Shar and cursed out Raphael for creating this mess⦠Iand the fact that thanks to Raphael he had to beat up the displacer beast and knock them out and then make it up to Nessie with their entire fish supply. Cats hold grudges okay)
following a map the rat gave as part of the deal, the group was attacked by a manifestation of Shar the selunites of the party had fun beating the crap out even though Morin did almost die. Shadowheart also started questioning why she felt a tiny bit of glee as well, why she got pissed off Shar almost killed her partner and why she had weird feelings about the mirror of loss.
taking a breatherā¦. Morin found a book and went more and more silent as he read about it ā¦. Shadowheart knows heās hiding something due to the disarming smile.
Transcribing Ketheric's Notes
Shout out to TheMasterofRPGs on YouTube, they found some text that I hadn't seen before that relates to Ketheric Thorm and Isobel's revivification. It is however hidden in the Wyrmway, probably reusing assets from Act 2? Go give them a view, they are criminally under-subscribed!
https://youtu.be/yGqd86yNSj4
Here's the extracted asset file, and then my transcription of the Esprurar cypher.
Remember when I promised to share Bhaal's three forms? I totally forgot back then, but now it hit me. These are some old 2024 concept arts, and they show the three forms of the god of murderš©
So, from what we know, Bhaal had three monstrous incarnations:
One form is a humanoid creature that looks like a human skeleton or a creepy old man with ash-gray, almost translucent skin. He mostly used this one to speak to people.
The second form is this deadly killer embodimentāstill human-like, but with twisted, messed-up facial features. He'd use this look to give his victims that grave-cold fear, basically paralyzing them with terror.
The third form is a fusion thing, like a giant-sized serpent with a huge mouth. It's probably dragon-related because of its size, and it could reach up to about 100 feet tall
Now, none of these forms actually appear fully in the game. Bhaal prefers to stay in the shadows, and in the game, he only shows up as an unseen spirit inside that huge stone skull. Anyway, if we're talking about his known appearances, heās probably a shapeshifter without one true form. So his "creepy old man" look might vary, same with his "disgusting humanoid monster" form.
If you know any other facts about the god of murder, let me knowāmaybe itāll give me more inspiration to recreate his concepts in a different wayš«¶š¼

Blarson and Clovia Throaks's lines from the game.
Blarson:
I've got it! They're out of plum prosecco here - I bet Clovia's gone to the Mermaid to find some more! Thanks, you jogged my memory. Pardon me, little preoccupied, can't talk. Where's Clovia gotten to now? Talking to that minx from the Foundry again, I don't doubt. What? Oh. You're still here. Maybe you should take the walk. It's Clo's favourite, plum prosecco. I'd rather drink almost anything else, frankly. Aye, security at the Steel Watch Foundry. But I still wish he'd taken up the family business. No, our Gasper preferred hanging around the Guildhall. I was afraid he was going to end up as a Guild bone-breaker. I⦠I think I need to take a walk. In a minute. Serious? I'd promote him from rat-catcher! Full partner! Here, you can't talk to Clo that way, you⦠you vagabond! Take that back, or else! Fight? With you? Um, no. Come on, Clo. Let's head home.
Clovia:
Welcome, stranger! If you were hoping to get some of the Elfsong's famous plum rhum, too bad - I just drank the last of it! I wonder if they've got any plum rhum down at the Mermaid? I know! I'll check the shebeen in the Guildhall. I thought you were going for a walk, Blars? Drink up, Blars, we're celebrating! If you won't drink with me, I bet this stranger will. Right, stranger? I'm Clovia Throaks, pleased to meet you! Our son Gasper has finally found himself a proper job. Now, Blars, you know Gasper never had the patience for all the stitching a tailor has to do. Sewing rabbit-skin cloaks? That's all right for some, I guess, but not for our Gasper. Good thing I introduced him to darling Tamia Holzt. She straightened Gasper out, found him a place in the Foundry. Perceptive one, aren't you? Blars, the plum bubbles may have gone to my head, but I guess it's time to tell you. I'm leaving you. I'm starting a new life with Tamia. I'm going to sell the business. The money we used to start it was mine in the first place. I'm afraid that's it for 'Throaks for Cloaks'. Oh, dear, the bottle's empty. Let's have another and talk about it. Oh, Blars! I never knew you had it in you! Let's get another bottle - and take it home! No, Blars. I've been trying to tell you something all night. Life must go on, eh? I may have an adult son, but I'm not ready to jump in the coffin yet. And he's finally made good! The lad has found himself a proper job.
Weird question that Iām hoping someone more educated in DND might be able to answer for me: how do the differences between Lolth-sworn and Seldarine drow work? Thatās always been odd to me. Thereās physical markers; so if a drow becomes Lolth-sworn from being Seldarine or vice versa, does their eye color change? Is the eye color thing just something that happens to run in families that are loyal to Lolth or the Seldarine/Eilistraee?
Lookie at this!
Yo BG3, homies!
BG3 made me curious about a couple of things in D&D lore (hadnāt played since high school, and only played a little). I cannot abide unanswered questions, so I went digging.
Wasnāt satisfied with what I got through digging, so I contacted a loremaster with a YT channel packed with lore videos. We continued chatting, and I continued to become more curious, ask more questions. Over the course of a few months I became so fixated that Iād spent hours per day researching and taking notes, binging lore videos, reading the novels, etc. until the loremaster Iād become friends with by this time asked if I wanted to be one of his lore scholars, to which I said, āummmmmm YEAH.ā And now I do stuff like this. However, it seems most D&D loremasters/players stay on one side of the fence and BG3 players on the other. Iād like to be the hole in that fence.
In that spirit, Iām considering creating a side-blog (or maybe just posts here, depending on level of interest) - brief posts with graphics addressing lore/geographical/theological questions pertaining to BG3, or just any general curiosities about FaerĆ»n, Toril, The Planes, and the denizens therein that any of my BG3 homies might have.
So ATTN: BG3 lovers! Respond to this with any questions about the world/multiverse where BG3 takes place that have been tickling your brain! Youāll get an @ post with answers! Please donāt be shy or think itās a dumb question. Iād truly LOVE to do this for you. I know people must have questions, but donāt want to watch hours of lore videos or fall down the rabbit hole I did and end up DMing tabletop games and being an assistant lore scholar (yāknow - like my obsessed ass). Like, maybe you just have a question. And Iād love to answer it. So respond with questions, and if there is an answer, youāll get it - with pictures! šš
