Match: Only if you're good.

Kind of joking bur I’m curious about their dynamic

They don't exactly become Friends, but Golf Ball DOES end up bringing up Match's memories of her time in the LOL, although accidentally.

Match is even more resistant to following orders and letting herself be told what to do this time around, let alone criticized. In this timeline, her conflict with Bubble is not resolved, so she STILL doesn't know if Bubble hates her or not, which already brings her back to the LOL when she didn't know where she stood with Pencil. Book and Ice Cube have already seemingly moved on, with Match's attempts to be part of that group again being rejected by Ice Cube, the two of them even barely looking her way. This loneliness leaves Match with like, a LOOOOT of time to think about the TLC, the LOL, and the EXIT, and she has come to the conclusion that the only thing behind her elimination is having someone around to criticize her or to tell her that she has to be the one to follow (rather the latter one be her being explicitly ordered around by Pencil or her witnessing better treatment when other people play the following role.) Criticism and playing into the follower role has Not Worked Out For Match, and Golf Ball is someone who WANTS to be listened to because nobody ever does.

So there is this conflict where Golf Ball's struggles come in the form of being talked over, ignored, and dismissed, but Match views her own struggles as coming from the fact that she Allowed herself to listen to others. This is of course not true and is a very tunnel vision way of looking at things, due to the fact Match has her own fair share of ignoring and talking over others (which Ice Cube brings up in their fight later but Match doesn't respond favorably to because she sucks at handling criticism), but it's where her mindset is right now and at this point.
