Just thought of a sinister BFB AU where Taco is rescued first instead of Book.
Book is left alone in the jawbreaker, completely neglected and forgotten by her team. Her abandonment issues act up and she mentally labels everyone (but Ice Cube) as unsafe.
By the time she's rescued, her team's apologetic. But she's not interested in their 'excuses', how does she know it won't happen again?
Book still doubles down on trying to create a safe and healthy environment for Ice Cube. Book can forgive Ice Cube because they're friends, it's easier. But she doesn't really know everyone else. She and Ice Cube were FreeSmart alternates, Book's worried that everyone on her team will hurt fragile Ice Cube.
Ice Cube knows Book is hurt, but still feels suffocated. It still gets to the point that Ice Cube wants to leave.
Taco still leaves her team during BFB 6. Book comes to the conclusion that Taco will abandon her. Taco forced her team to catch the basket, even if it led to their demise, then conveviently forgot about Book.
