ALBUMS OF THE WEEK! Here are the nine albums that got the most plays out of me. The winner was Mana by Idle Hands (the band name was recently changed to "Unto Others” because of a trademark dispute…what a pain). This album was a grower for me. The ultra clean vocals were quite jarring to me at first because I pretty much exclusively subsist on a Cookie Monster voice diet when it comes to music (I had this same problem with Khemmis at first, but I love them now, too). Once I accepted it, this album really took off for me. The guitar work in this is fantastic, and the way the album slowly builds up all the way to the end is genius and leads to a rewarding payoff. The best way I can describe it is a heavy metal version of The Cure with a dash of Type O Negative. Next, Haunt and Decapitated each got two entries because they are awesome, and Ninkharsag and Bewitcher returned with their stellar new releases. Finally, I randomly pulled out Beyond Creation’s Algorythm and enjoyed the tasty technical death metal delicacy that it is. ☠️ 1. Idle Hands (Unto Others) - Mana 2. Haunt - Triumph 3.
