Since everything going on lately, with trying to keep his current job for as long as he could for income, pursuing this whole new career trying to start up a company with Andrew, moving in with Alex, and attempting to keep a social life, it had been a little while since Hyunjin had spoken with Beth. Which sucked; being this busy was like a double edged sword. But he’d just cleared out his apartment and talked with the landlord to get everything settled before flagging Beth down. “Hey, stranger. I’m officially leaving the neighborhood. Try not to miss me too much.” He smiled. For what it was worth, he was already missing their casual smoke breaks and grabbing coffee together. “But what’s been going on with you lately? Keeping Noah out of trouble?”

When Kyle had the chance to go out for the night, he hadn’t fully anticipated himself sitting in a bar, drinking alone and more or less people watching. In his defense, his mind was a little too much on the exhausted side to even try striking up a conversation with someone right now. Then, that’s when he noticed it. Some guy had been staring at this woman for an uncomfortable amount of time from afar, and when it looked like she was heading for the door, the guy moved to follow. Kyle immediately got up from his seat, maneuvering through people the best he could and managing to time it just right, he purposely bumped into her, spilling a bit of his drink on her in the process. “I’m so sorry...” Kyle glanced over to see if he could spot the guy. He seemed to have froze for a moment, hesitating before finally walking out the door by himself. Maybe it was nothing but it seemed a tad too creepy for Kyle. Turning his attention back to the brunette, he bit his lip. “You okay? I can get something to clean this up.”

The longer Hyunjin hung around all these people, the more he was starting to feel like maybe this wasn’t the best distraction. Because damn, he didn’t really want to talk to anyone. And everyone was happy. Kids running around, groups of friends laughing over stupid shit, whatever band was on stage playing music... Running into Denver was unexpected, and Hyunjin was about ready to jump into a fight for the hell of it (and to defend his friend, of course) but now that they each went their own ways, he wasn’t sure what to do. Maybe Denver had the right idea, though. Not necessarily picking fights with people, but being a bit intoxicated. It’d definitely loosen him up, right? Jin was beginning to consider leaving until he could have sworn he recognized a brunette. Which had him moving closer to find out. And when he realized it was Beth after all, he smiled, tapping her on the arm and giving a small wave. “Hey, fancy running into you here.” Jin leaned towards as he spoke, trying to speak over all the other commotion. “You listen to this stuff? Maaan, I don’t know if this friend thing is gonna work out,” he teased.
