#bestdecision is today’s prompt for #marchmeetthemaker2022 - tough one. When it comes to my sanity saving creative life, I would have to say my best decision was tea bowls. They are not “hot” sellers. I know most of you would rather I make mugs (big thank you to my tea bowl fans out there! 💜💜💜) But I literally dream of making tea bowls. The way they fit in the shape of my hand to form them, the relaxed wave of the rim, even the way the foot is a handle in a tea ceremony so it needs a gentle curve to hold. Every little part has a purpose and requires attention, right down to the exact angle of the drip line to control the glaze movement. I could not make two the same if I tried. Someday I will do another One Hundred Tea Bowls project.
