I was reflecting. 11 years ago I left LA quick fast and in a hurry. I went to grad school @ucirvine. Experienced 3 years of extreme racism in their MFA theatre departments. All I wanted to do was escape. My Sagittarius moon is strong it that way. I moved to LA in 2007 I was 23 years old, by myself. Trying to play the respectable, straight, boring life. Over educated and poor in the city of Angels. LA taught me how to hang with me, how to date myself, how to have fun without companionship. I went from the west coast to DC. I didn’t heal or deal with the harm done by UCI. The trauma continued and so did the hurt and pain. But looking at how much I have changed. The growth. I am no ones mother and I am ok with that. I take what I have, what I know and share. I care. I love on y’all sometimes to a fault. If I did have a mini me I could do so with pride because I have taken the time to heal, continue to do so. I see the humanity in myself so that I can extend that to a child as well.
