Finals of the German Windsurf Cup finished!
Bernd Flessner was again the dominating windsurfer in the German windsurf cup this season. At Westerland / Sylt, he managed to get his 14th title. More than 100000 visitors enjoyed the good conditions with winds up to 30 knots and the events off the water.
In the race competition, Flessner dominated the whole competition, finishing first ahead of Vincent Langer. He also won the slalom competition, but this was much harder because Windfinder Windsurf Team rider Gunnar Asmussen and Vincent Langer were hard on his heels, finishing in second and third place. The wave/freestyle competiton was won by German youngster and Gran Canaria local Philip Köster, who also won the PWA worldcup at Pozo. With this victory, he also gained the title of German champion in the wave/freestyle discipline.
Now all windsurfers will take a two-week break before the new season 2009/2010 continues with the first event of the German windsurf cup at Schönberger Strand near Kiel.
