Monday, August 11 Day 1: Write that forehead touch scene we never got the context for Alternate theme: Post-Final Reckoning reunion (whole team or just Benthan)

Tuesday, August 12 Day 2: 5 times Ethan says “Talk to me, Benji” + 1 time Benji says “Talk to me, Ethan” Alternate theme: Final Reckoning decompression chamber, replacing Grace with Benji

Wednesday, August 13 Day 3: Ethan has trouble telling what is real after communicating with the Entity Alternate theme: Others find out that Ethan and Benji are dating/married

Thursday, August 14 Day 4: Ethan moves into Benji’s apartment to help with his or Benji’s recovery and never leaves which actually suits Benji just fine (accidentally on purpose living together) Alternate theme: Benji is there for Ethan when grief for Luther hits him at an unexpected time

Friday, August 15 Day 5: Final Reckoning Ethan finds out what happened to Benji and then later Benji learns what Ethan went through with Gabriel Alternate theme: One of them is high/drunk

Saturday, August 16 Day 6: Benji using his honeypot skills on a mission (Ethan doesn’t like this) Alternate theme: What was the incident with Ethan that caused Benji to pursue medical training? And how did Ethan feel after he learned this? How did he feel after FR when he learned that Benji had to essentially treat himself?

Sunday, August 17 Day 7: After his excursion into Arctic waters, Ethan is always cold. Benji notices. Alternate theme: Ethan accidentally runs into Benji while undercover (in a mask) and they end up flirting the night away

Day 1: Alternate Theme - Post Final Reckoning Reunion

Excerpt:

"Benji can’t help the smile that forces its way onto his face, “Hi Ethan,” he says- or rather tries to say. His voice is completely wrecked. He doesn’t quite care about that though. Just the sight of Ethan alone makes him forget the rest. He never thought he’d see the man again. And here he is, kneeling at his bedside, eyes brimming with tears.

Eyes brimming with tears?

“Are you okay?” He asks.

Ethan’s mouth opens in a slight gasp, his bottom lip shaking a bit, “Am I…? Benji, you- I…” he pauses, steels himself, like he’s gearing up to say something and needs to get his thoughts in order.

Yeah so if you take the titles of my Benthan Week fics and put them backwards in order you get this little poem because im an insane person and love making things harder on myself 💕 (i gave up trying to have them be the last line of each fic after day 5, got way too sleep deprived 😬) I also tried to write both prompts for each day, which probably also didn’t help haha

pairing: benji/ethan rating: teen summary:

Ethan thinks he might go mad if Benji keeps this up.

This being his irritatingly good skills at persuasion in the arms deal they’re currently intercepting. They’re at a gala of some sort, one of those that takes place in a series of dimly lit but expansive ballrooms and hallways and studies and places with pool tables and poker attendants. There’s a live band with a cello and a violin in the corner and a fully stocked bar that’s been busy all night, and Benji’s there, Benji’s there because Ethan made a stupid mistake and broke his hand two weeks ago and couldn’t take his place.

He’s good at it, though. At least there’s that.

Annoyingly good at it. Because here he is, strutting around in the green suit that brings out his eyes, hair slicked back, beard neatly combed, lithe and regal and completely breathtaking, and Ethan has to settle for watching him over CCTV.

There’s a chair in Benji’s office which is positioned decently within view of the window but more importantly functions as the proprietor of one beautiful, heavy, hand-knit afghan. Ethan’s not quite sure when the afghan appeared, but Benji’s like a magpie for that sort of thing. He pays it no mind. The important thing is that it is there, and it’s warm, and whether he attempts to maintain vigilance regarding potential snipers or not he always seems to drift off sometime around three in the afternoon. Benji doesn’t seem to mind, and he doesn’t have anything better to do.
