“Someone’s coming!” Charlotte hissed, ducking back into the small room she and Kylo had dragged their little captive. The man, who had no doubtably had his mind completely looked over by the towering man, lay unconscious on the ground. 

Footsteps echoed off the walls in the hallway behind Charlotte, getting closer by the second. She saw Kylo reach for his saber, knowing that if he activated it and cut down whoever was coming, they’d be overrun in an instance. She had faith in his abilities, but there was always a limit.

Why did I choose this URL: Charlotte is literally a runaway ex-agent of SHIELD. It just fit her, and just seems to flow with the blog.

A little over two weeks passed since her encounter with Kylo Ren. She still couldn’t stop thinking about it, even after so much time had passed. She did her best to remain professional around others, but in private, she had no idea what to do. As usual, she was over analyzing things, picking apart every detail, from the way he had touched her to the way his lips had felt against hers. 

As usual, she couldn’t just let herself feel instead of think for a change.

She was on the bridge when she got word of his return. General Hux had called her up there to oversee a technical matter, something she could have solved quickly, if not for the ginger’s insistence that she check, re-check, and check again that she had run the numbers correctly, and that her measurements were sound.

After running her numbers again for at least the fiftieth time, Charlotte was almost ready to go insane. She would have yelled at the General by now, if he was any other person, but all she could do was give him dark glares behind his back.

All she wanted to do was go back to her quarters, and have a calming cup of tea. And maybe, if he was interested, speak to Kylo again.

Hux resisted the urge to pace with difficulty, telling himself that it would be a forfeiture of his high emotion. He loathed this feeling that he was at fault, that he was responsible for the situation with the rogue FN trooper. Well. He would have to redouble his efforts, see that this sort of thing never happened again. He would go through the entire troop with a fine toothed comb and weed out any potential weaknesses. They could not afford another breach of this dimension, another failure. Hearing Ren approach, he whipped around to shoot an awful scowl at him. 

A week had passed, and Olivier had been discharged a day before Ben. He got that dose in, no worries. He lived in the furthest quarters away from main base, but close enough to the hangar that he could have comfort among the familiarity. It was easier that way - he didn’t bother as many people at night.

There was a sound in the adjoining quarters that had been empty since Olivier showed up. R2 came rolling in, beeping excitedly to bring Olivier to see. The pilot unlocked the door connecting the suites to find Ben putting away his things, not noticing him yet. Olivier leaned against the doorframe with a smile.

                        “It’s a small world after all, isn’t it?”

She had been aboard the Finalizer when Starkiller had been destroyed. Everyone had dropped what they were doing when they received the news, not exactly knowing what do to next. Who commanded them? What were they going to do?

That was when Hux (of course he lived, much to Charlotte’s dismay) sent orders to every surviving First Order ship to make their way towards one of the most secret bases they inhabited. Charlotte had never been there, even if she had stuck to Kylo Ren’s side most of her time working for him. It surprised her, having one of the most powerful men in the Order to take such an interest in her. She didn’t know what to call it, but at least he let her live for as long as she had.

 A couple weeks later after arriving, Charlotte had finally settled into her new quarters on the base. She sat at her desk, her hair pulled back and goggles on her face as she welded a few wires and pieces of metal on a device she was working on. She hadn’t heard any word from Kylo, and no one seemed to know anything. She didn’t know what to do. She still reported to her usual officer, but to not have anyone to give her special missions...

Her door chimed, and she briefly glanced up. “It’s open!” she called, looking back down at her work.

Olivier had been part of the search and rescue team, one of the least injured of his quad (several gashes, a burn, mild concussion) making him one of the small team to accompany General Organa as they looked for Him.

                                            “There!”

A keen eye spotted dark shapes in the snow. Finn and Rey had been rescued. Not far off was Him. Unconscious, bleeding, no older than Olivier himself. It was hard to believe for a moment the He could have caused so much damage. Under careful watch and treatment, discussions were made. General Organa had the final word, and the troops were informed of the decision.

                                      Kylo Ren no longer existed.                Ben Solo was to wake with no knowledge of what had passed.

Pilot Olivier Perrier had been chosen to guard his room as he recovered. The General had asked for him personally to help her Ben acclimate to society again. It was an honor, but a great weight for slim shoulders to bear. He was shocked, of course. Leia had requested him having heard he was one of the gentlest but strong-willed. To hear her say that - it made him glow with pride.                                 He wouldn’t let his General down.

So, there Olivier sat in a sterile bed across from one of the most dangerous, powerful men in the galaxy. Olivier had a bandage wrapped around his arm. Ben had one across his face. The lights were dim. Olivier reviewed his notes, the fabricated story, letting the time tick past.

Then, black eyes opened. He was awake.
