Hey there gang! So just another little task for us all! What I would like to see are some headcanons that get into your characters mind, ones that really get them out onto the open road! These can be things from their past, or something that they do everyday. So just another nice plot drop for you all. Iâd be sure to give it a read for instructions and of course to see how it can apply to your character! Take a hit under the read more! The story continued.....Times had been tough since the night of the Masquerade Ball, the nights were dangerous and Hero patrols had gone up due to the increase of the Shadow Society activity. The mayors office had been extremely quiet, almost too quiet and it had set many Heroes and Civilians on edge with the uproar from C.A.T.S becoming more pronounced. After a short announcement many came to gather for the Mayors first speech since the loss of her wife. Heroes and Villains both stood in the crowd, separated and for once not causing a fight. Everyone was simply too anxious with what was to be heard- especially with the threat that laws concerning supers were to be changed.

âANd now for word from the honorable Mayor Westernâ The secretary said as she stepped out of the way, applause filling the air as she brave woman stepped up with her flashcards, a woman that had never been one to look nervous in a public setting until now. âGood afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I am extremely thankful for those that have turned out today in what can only be described as a hugely unfortunate time. As the leader for the city it is still my duty to push forward our plans for the upcoming year. The loss of my wife has been one that I will not be able to understand or grasp...But what matters is that we feel that the culprit has been found...â she then suddenly announced, this making the audience murmur and gasp, many looking at each other. Heroes eyeing each other in worry and Villains beginning to back away from the crowds in case they needed a quick exit. Vigilantes even stood to the wings and began to look nervous. It was clear no one had been expecting such sudden words âFrom extensive studying of the CCTV and from witness accounts we have derived that the culprit is found to be American Liberty, or that it was at least orchestrated by her and others acting on her instructionâ The mayor suddenly snapped out, then pointing to the crowd to where Tatiana had been stood with a couple of other heroes âWhat?! But I was the one being pulled out of the way! I WAS A VICTIM JUST AS MUCH AS-â Liberty suddenly shouted losing her cool and her American Liberty public persona, the blondes eyes wide as she realized she was trapped, sure she had her powers but what use would escaping do, then sheâd look even more guilty for a crime that was not at all her doing.
It was then that Florence Genevieve moved from the back  of the podium and came to stand beside Mayor Western, an almost smug smile on her lips as she held a strange metal collar, watching as some security came over and grabbed Liberty, the hero looking around for help from the crowd and her hero family, but everyone was simply stunned into a silence and confusion that the American Patron could really be accused of such a crime. âI have been working with Genevieve labs and tip offs to my office to study footage of that night and have deduced that until further trial and jury, that American Liberty is to be detained under arrest until further notice...We shall find out just what happened and justice shall be served. A full investigation into the Heroes Union will too be instated.â The Mayor announced, Florence only stepped down the steps and unlocked the collar, slipping it on around the blondes neck, Liberty hissing and trying to lean away, not wanting to hurt anyone with her strength âWe are being framed why on Earth would the Heroes Union want to hurt anyone?!â The leader yelled, glaring at Florence âThis will be keep you tagged to the Originals Tower, it will let us know if you leave it and you are to remain there until it is removed by a city official, like myself...â Florence mused, trying to not sound amused as she it locked onto the woman. âIt will render you powerlessâ she whispered against her ear and pulled away, Liberty then being immediately let go by the security guards. Mayor Western looked down at Liberty and then back to the crowd âWe have been working with the Genevieve labs for combative equipment against the rise of Super Terrorism, we will no longer be taking it, as New York needs to show strength. Those that are caught for criminal activity will be detained and given such treatment before being sent to our special facility that you will be held in to serve your sentence, let that be a warning to all out there who wish to try and create a war. New York is strong and will not stand for it any longer!â she barked, this receiving huge applause and cheers from the C.AT.S section of the crowd. It was then that Liberty was only gripped again and made to walk away by the security officials to take her back to her house arrest at the Originals Tower....Were the Heroes Union without a leader now?...That would be a fate to follow, for then not too much could be done, many simply frozen in place as they watched, powerless over the events.
But the plot thickens. Something was a miss in the whole situation and this was noticed by a select few, there was something just a little....Off? About the mayor? She didnât seem to be quite herself. It always pays off to have a few keen eyes in the crowd and they were certainly there that day. With hope they could help and set this right.
(Be sure to keep an eye on your inboxes, as characters will be selected at random with an ask from the main that will let them know if they spotted just what had been off with the Mayor, when this ask comes through DO NOT publish it, but you may make it a character starter or a self para. Your character may speak to other characters who saw the same thing and in the ask, you will receive the names. More about this plot drop will be reported on Radio Super One and we ask for you to send your character reactions to the radio if you can, or perhaps even some anons from concerned city members with their own theories. Also as a TASK within the event please do a thread with someone you have not written with before! Just to mix things up. Everyone will have a reaction to this.)
Itâs sadly become very clear that I will have to go over the rules in regards to Vigilantes and Civilians as I think people havenât been reading the application information. When applying for a Vigilante these people are typically UNPOWERED and they are not at all savvy at being a Hero or Villain, which is why they are looked down on as they are people that typically have a death wish and want to be better than they are. If you are applying for a powered Vigilante the end goal is to eventually consider joining one of the teams. Any vigilante that is acting without the diplomatic immunity of the Heroes Union or the protection of the Shadow Society are extremely likely to get interfered with by the government and neutralized because they are being seen as reckless. If they do not wish to be caught they are likely to keep a low profile even if helping or doing petty crimes. They will never handle anything high profile, those are for the heroes and villains. And vigilantes are typically rumored by the public.
As for a Civilian, they are typically UNPOWERED and are living normal human lives, if they are retired heroes and villains then its absolutely fine but they will not get involved with saving lives/ fighting crime/ domination. CIvilians that are powered will completely stay out of any fights and any politics. They will be seen as a normal person.
I just wanted to put this information out there as I am trying to avoid a lack of group activity as most events will be for the heroes and villains as plot drivers, but if your characters are actively getting involved in the respective groups then I have no problem at all and for now I am putting a TEMPORARYÂ BAN on POWERED VIGILANTES AND POWERED CIVILIANS until we get more Heroes and Villains, because we need more members for the groups that I have some lined plot drops for. I hope Iâm not coming across as harsh and I never ever want to stow anyones muse. But I just think that it needs reigning in a little before the group opens. Event 001: Once upon a Christmas Ball / 22nd December- 29th December
You are cordially invited to the grand Mayoral Christmas ball, a night of celebration and glamour for that favorite time of year. This years theme will be blue and silver and the venue will be laid out with the most perfect ice sculptures and designs you have ever witnessed. To add a little bit of intrigue and mystery this ball will be a Masquerade and entry will only be permitted to those that wear a mask. The Mayor and his wife will be honored to see you there!
Tensions are rising within the Heroes Union and Shadow Society, the latest Radio Super One threat has left Cindy Chase in hospital and the channel/ station ran by Emery Williams. The ball will be documented by the station so that they may witness the mayors speech on the New Year plans for the city. Whilst not at all wanting to go, American Liberty has decided that as honored guests that the cityâs heroes should show their faces to give an âall is wellâ show to the public after the latest threat that has not stopped people talking. But wouldnât it be interesting if some villains managed to slip into the venue?
The event will start on Saturday 22nd December and run until Saturday 29th December! Watch Radio Super One and the Main for event updates, as there is no chance a party of this size is going to exactly run smoothly, right?
