while there are a lot of issues with bella and edwards relationship (i don’t really care it’s fiction let us live) edwards main goal is always protecting bella even if that means he can’t be in her life. he tries to distance himself from her for her safety, he lets her decide to become a vampire even though it’s not something he wants because he respects her, he’s supportive of abortion (see stephanie meyer is anti abortion and that reflects in breaking dawn which is annoying because it places edward in the wrong when he’s absolutely justified! renesmee literally killed bella) all he wants is for her to be ok

jacob is kind for like one movie then he becomes a wolf(or shapeshifter) and turns into the biggest dickhead on the planet. he becomes constantly angry and has this weird possessive attitude towards bella this at one point almost gets edward killed. he is constantly trying to guilt bella into loving him saying shit like “maybe you’ll care when i’m dead.” (???) just so she’d kiss him. bella made it clear from the start edward was it for her, she never lead him on(which i have to say because a lot of M E N say she did) but he doesn’t care because he likes the idea of her

obviously the reason jacob is written this way is cause of racism, duh. he’s the angry aggressive brown man opposite his pure of heart white counterpart. i don’t think anyone would disagree with that. that doesn’t change what he actually does in the story though. jacob is not a good person and that’s baked into the story, so yeah. i really don’t understand anyone who’s team jacob.
