Appearance:

“Most of us are 5 foot and over by the age of 19, 16 in human ages. We look like humans to be honest. Our eyes are normally strong neon colours like blue, pink, yellow for example. Mine are blue. Certain types of Beltaggs have two small horns which will be explained later. Another unique feature we have is the small tattoo we’re born with across our collarbones. The tattoo are normally neon colours, shaped like swiggels and patterns based on factors like season, age and location. As we get older the colour in our tattoo and eyes fade until our tattoo are black. Our eyes just turn a deep brown, green, hazel or blue..”- Lay

Society:

“We live in a quite unfair community. The four types of Beltaggs have different rights, but we can mostly live in Harmony. Common Beltaggs and Chag Beltaggs do tend to quarrel sometimes, but they can love in peace most of the time.”

Language:

“We speak Beltaggien. Most of us, if not all of us, speaks English.”

Types of Beltaggs:

Common: “These are your closest to stereotypical Beltaggs. The Chags claim that the common ones don’t have anything special about them. They normally live in houses of 4-5. There isn’t much danger when it comes to working with them.”

Chag: “They’re probably the least happy and friendly in the Beltagg society. A lot of them are poor and are mocked by some extremely rich and popular Trachel. They can seem cut off and harsh sometimes but most of them are kind when they begin to trust you. They also have horns.”

Meanbel: “I’m Meanbel. We don’t really care that much about being rich, we just care about sport. If you go to a sport Center in Beltagg territory you are likely going to find a Meanbel there. I wouldn’t say we are rich, but we can afford most things. Also some of us are a bit full of ourselves.”

Trachtel: “The most rich. Not all Trachtels are rich by the way. They have the most authority since there are more Trachtels then any other type. Most Chags are afraid of them because of this.”

How united are these groups?:

“To be honest, we are quite united. I have a few friends from all groups. But in some areas Beltaggs can be discriminative to eachother. I’m lucky I wasn’t raised to be discriminative like that”

Anything else?

“We travel away from our lands and we are often mistaken for Larvartums by some”

“Yes”

First questions, Can you tell us about healing in the Astral?

“Oooh! I work as a healer! I mainly work with Energy, gems and Plants in the Astral. What I do is I use energy to heal wounds on spirits and then I will use plants to soothe the pain or calm the illness down. I use Gems to protect and speed up the process”

Surgical procedures?

“Well, there are a few surgeons in my job. They do cutting magick to carry out surgical procedures. They also use energy to close wounds and they use plants to soothe the pain afterwards”

Do surgeons make their patients sleep during procedures?

“Well, in my area... in emergency cases they just give ten patient loads of plants and herbs to make the patient almost numb while they carry out procedures. But most if the time they do”

What type of foods do Beltaggs like?

“We like anything really. But we don’t eat beef. We also really favour spicy foods”

Do you like the taste of cheese?

“Human cheese? Yes. Me and Aspen’s other companion (Marcus ) loves cheddar”

What’s art like in Beltagg society?

“Most of it is from Meanbel and commons. We do loads of metarealism, street art and pop art, like human’s pop art.”

Music?

“We like Music. We have this festival where all Beltaggs in the area gather around and dance to music. We do tend to like some human music, some human spirits come along sometimes and introduce us to them. Also Aspen has introduce me to the Kpop group Stray kids! My bias is Seongmin.”

Literature?

“Literature is more popular with Trachtels. We tend to do a lot of poetry. Not many books are written in English since Beltaggien is our main language.”
