Just that split second before shane ducks his head and avoids his kiss ilya is probably the happiest he's ever been cuz as far as he knows everything went according his his plan, he asked shane over, they fucked and shane rode him to oblivion, he asked shane to stay over, he agreed, shane slept in his arms, he got to watch shane drink his favourite drink and got to make him food, got to sit on his couch, watch hockey with him and talk about their shared world, got to know new little details about shane and got to laugh at his jokes, shane even tried to comfort him after his father's call and ilya got so happy over the fact that shane even asked about his father that he didn't even give an answer, he just cuddled him to his chest. Then shane got on top of him, initiated intimacy, tried to make him feel better as best he could, let go of his inhibitionts and only focused on making ilya feel pleasure to make him feel better after the call and it worked - ilya is soooo happy in that moment, after they both came he's caressing Shane's arm, gazing adoringly at his face and smiling into their next kiss cuz IT WORKED he planned all this shit and he got everything he was hoping for - shane is in his arms out of his own volition and he seems to want to stay there........
