"But—" Jake glanced down at the open box on his father's desk. "Alone? They'll kill me if they catch me." His father's brows tightened at the interruption, and before he spoke he moved his mouth like he was trying to get rid of a bad taste. "Son, you interrupt me again and I'll kill you. I didn't raise you to talk out of turn and I sure as shit didn't raise you to question my authority. You know why you've been chosen to do this." Jake straightened, pulled his chin up, and nodded. There was only one way to respond to John Seresin II and Jake had had it beaten into him since childhood: stand tall and take it like a man. He was lucky, really, that there wasn't an audience for this. An audience always provoked his dad. "Yes, Sir," Jake intoned. Solemn because his father liked it that way. Solemn because he knew his father meant every word. "Now pick it up and get on and do it," his father said, sighing as he settled in the leather wingback chair behind his desk—as close to a throne as you could get, without gilding. "Yes, Sir." His father flicked his hand at him: dismissal. He didn't look up to watch Jake nod and turn to go.

It's not ripping us out of our lives, forcing to be with him, manipulating us, controlling our pleasure that bothers us. It's the food.
And we will stab him with forks if he tries to control our food!
Eva! I swear, I knew this Steve being controlling would be irritating at times, but I did not think the denying of a burger was going to be what brought the angry mob to him. But I love it! I thought he might have a change to maybe redeem himself when he finally ordered her one for dinner, but he was just hated even more!

yes i’m alive… life is very very busy!!! i’ve taken on a freelancing gig on top of my two part time jobs now that teaching is done for the summer! i work like 50-60 hours a week not to mention i HAVE to keep up with love island and need to be reading at least one book at a time LOL
i’ve seen the asks and i will do my best to brainstorm!

hi!! im completely gobsmacked at how many people loved the mask! im currently otw to the beach with my friends (we just graduated college!!) so i won't have a ton of time to write until like monday://// im sorry
