Still only working on one fic rn, so I'm skipping the stitch and bitch and offering up another little excerpt from the magical mafia au!

Anna hadn't bothered replying. It stung a little. Well. A lot. It wasn't something Jake liked to think about at the best of times, but there weren't many people who loved him in the kind of way that didn't require exchange. Since his mom died that short list had shrunk even further. But Anna had loved him since she was born. She had loved him when they both got themselves scolded for being dirty from playing in the garden. She had loved him when he was a try-hard eleven year old with the worst haircut in the world. She'd even loved him when he'd come home heartbroken in the worst possible way.  But this. This farce of a trap he'd made for himself, this betrayal, was obviously a step too far. Jake left his breakfast untouched and escaped to sit with his book by the window in the very back of the library, as far from Fritz and his too-knowing face as he could get. He didn't read, just leaned with his forehead pressed against the cool glass and stared into the shifting green of the trees that filled the garden outside. It was a captive wilderness, Bradshaw's garden, and never showed the hint of being siphoned for power. It was just there to be beautiful and alive.  He heard footsteps. "Fritz, I appreciate the effort but I'm not gonna eat or drink or talk today and if you try and make me we might have our first fight. So fuck off." "Is Bradshaw's dick tiny? Is that why you're sulking?"

It's not ripping us out of our lives, forcing to be with him, manipulating us, controlling our pleasure that bothers us. It's the food.

And we will stab him with forks if he tries to control our food!

Eva! I swear, I knew this Steve being controlling would be irritating at times, but I did not think the denying of a burger was going to be what brought the angry mob to him. But I love it! I thought he might have a change to maybe redeem himself when he finally ordered her one for dinner, but he was just hated even more!

yes i’m alive… life is very very busy!!! i’ve taken on a freelancing gig on top of my two part time jobs now that teaching is done for the summer! i work like 50-60 hours a week not to mention i HAVE to keep up with love island and need to be reading at least one book at a time LOL

i’ve seen the asks and i will do my best to brainstorm!
