Am I the only one that thinks that Mario would hate Beldam? Not in the sense of straight up telling her to her face but more like "glaring at her from over his shoulder while talking to Vivian" type of thing, y'know?
Like the thing with Mario is that he's just so full of love for everyone in his life, and when he fights the villains and stuff, he does it because they're threatening his world, his friends or it's simply the right thing to do, he never really does it because he has something specifically against them or because he dislikes them.
But with Beldam it's probably different, not only she was trying to shroud the world in eternal darkness (which is bad but like, he's probably used to it by now), but also was an asshole to one of his friends and just everyone in general. She has literally shown no good qualities that could at least make Mario's little Italian heart not despise her so much (which doesn't take too much since he's relatively chill with Bowser of all people).
One of the worst parts is that Mario also has a younger sibling whom he loves with his entire soul and would do anything for, and seeing Beldam treat Vivian like that was definitely infuriating to no end for the man that would go to hell and back for his brother.
Beldam is Mario's worst enemy, not because she's the strongest, but because she compresses every single thing Mario hates into one 2000 year old arrogant hag.

This image alone has done more to fight transphobia than most trans allies. I absolutely love whenever someone misgenders Vivian or denies that she’s trans and the replies or comments are just filled with this one image. It’s just become visual shorthand for ‘this person is a loser’ and I think that’s beautiful
