This is us. This is Belarus. These are the people who don’t want to be afraid anymore. People who’ve had enough. 

I’ve never felt so proud being a Belarusian. I’ve never felt such national unity before. 

But it’s just getting started. We have a long way ahead. 

History has its eyes on us.

Call for solidarity actions with the uprising against the Lukashenko regime – 14 August 

"For the first time in the history of Belarus, people across the country rebelled against the dictatorship. Many thousands of demonstrations are held not only in the capital, but also in small towns. 

People take to the streets and not only peacefully protest against the authorities, but also fight against the state apparatus – they help friends and comrades and clash with police. 

August 10, barricades appeared in the streets of Minsk for the first time, while protesters began using molotov cocktails. Some enterprises and firms went on strike. 

In recent days, standing shoulder to shoulder, we have felt what the energy of the people means. We have realized that together we can overthrow a tyrant! 

The blockage of the Internet could not stop the news flow. People all over the world have learned that the Belarusian dictatorship is ready to drown the population in blood just to stay in power. In three days, police and internal troops detained more than 5000 people, hundreds suffered from cop violence. At least one person has been killed. 

Now more than ever, international solidarity is important in the fight against Lukashenko. Therefore, we call you all to join the international day of actions in solidarity with belarusian people! 

In what format can you express your solidarity? 

You can hold rallies and demonstrations at Belarusian embassies and other institutions of Belarusian power in your country. 

Take collective photos. Take part in direct actions. Any, even the smallest solidarity can support the fire of rebellion that will tear down the dictatorship in our country!

Riot police started to disperse people chanting outside production plants to support employees at strike.

Some employess report punches from management.

BT broadcasting employees at strike are replaced with Russian specialists.

International journalists are denied entry to the country, accredited or traveling privately. Apparently a journalist fron Netherlands was hurt by a flash-bang grenade on 11 August and spent two days in a military hospital. She says every few hours they were disturbed by a member of the police, not letting them rest, interviewing them at 2 a.m., etc.

At least two choppers were seen flying overhead with red-green flag of Lukashenko's Belarus in two different cities. That costs fucking money, people, helicopters aren't made for fuel economy.

More and more riot police squads and "avtozaks" (basically jail on wheels) are seen in the streets.

Police is starting to call on people to stop unsanctioned demonstrations.

Lukashenko said that people chanting outside the plants basically make the employees run a gauntlet like Gestapo (Nazi German secret police known for its brutality). Yes, he went there.

After EU said they do not acknowledge Lukashenko as re-elected, he allegedly called Putin to ask him to tell Merkel to keep her nose out of Belarusian matters.

Another person, 43 M from Brest, is dead after being shot by the police.

And that's just after yesterday's big win in Grodno, where the city council promised to stand with people and help them organise protests.
