A reminder that "Black fatigue" is one of many co-opted terms within Black culture and academics that does not mean "I'm tired of Black people."
It means "being Black causes me mental stress due to how society treats me for being Black." Coined in 2020 by a Black woman and scholar, not by the White supremacists and tap-dancing Blacks that use it to be racist against the very people they took the phrase from.
It is a tale as old as time, every phrase, every term, every trend, every aspect of our being gets taken from us and used against us.
We as a race can't even exist without our features being criticized, but when some White girl gets surgery to get our natural figure and wears our protective hairstyles, she's "curvy, trim, and edgy" while we remain "fat, masculine, and ghetto."
Black people, Black women specifically, do not, and frankly should not, stand by anyone outside of ourselves. Do not come in my asks with anything regarding the boycott while thinly masking your racism because fuck you, I've never supported any of the Asian-owned businesses in my area BECAUSE THEY'RE RACIST! The beauty supply shop, the nail salons, the restaurants, every single of one of them in my area has been on fuck shit since I was a CHILD and they shut down years ago because no one in my community was going to support that shit.
Do some fucking research, look at how often Blacks have stood behind every minority only to not get even a fraction of that support when we need it, being told to move on, that we're overreacting, that "see, this is why I get Black fatigue." Non-Blacks are quick to take an issue with us even when we don't do shit to them, minding our own business isn't an option, but it damn sure is for everyone else.
