Welp I did not feel good enough to try to fight for a spot in the library, but managed to have a pretty productive study session at home! I really needed to do a little summary of all the past tenses I have been studying, have all the info in the same place because I was going insane. I do think it'll help, now I just gotta practice and practice until it comes naturally.

I had my first lesson after 3 weeks! It was lots of speaking practice, mainly about my stay here and what I've been doing. We also did some revising on the tenses, which was pretty fitting. So yeah, verb day! But happy with the work.

After a week long break, I managed to convince myself to go to a café and have a little study session. I haven't done much language learning during the week (although I've been focusing on some projects for my portfolio and reading a lot) but I really don't wanna drop the routine of studying even a little everyday, now that I have gotten used to it.

So went over what I did in my last lesson since I have another one tomorrow, and continued working with the podcast materials. Quite happy with today's episode cause I was understanding like 90% of it which was really nice. Also during my commute listened to some finnish music. Used to do it a lot but grew tired of it, so I'm building a new playlist.

Snow is here and I'm really happy I've been able to see it before I leave :) Also I got myself a kindle as a self-present that will be waiting for me at home so I'm excited (I always swore id never join the reading digitally team... hopefully i enjoy reading there and im not wasting my money oof)

Study session of today: quite unproductive lol. There was some kind of event for kids at the library, plus also a group of giggling teenagers in the table in front of me, so let's say it was a bit difficult to concentrate :D I copied down the transcript for the podcast episode I'm working on rn, hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to listen to it couple times and do the workbook.

Well, i indeed got sick :D today was the first day I've felt a little less like a zombie and I've been able to do an exercise my teacher suggested. Went trough a couple of the news in easy Finnish, then picked one and worked on it a bit, plus made a summary on my own words at the end. Not much, but that's all I managed today. Hopefully tomorrow I feel good enough to try to go to the library, and later in the day I have the italki lesson.

Honestly I'm not a sports girl at all, but picked one about basketball since I watched the matches with my bf! Learnt some nice vocab related to match, points, win/lose etc so it was nice 🙂‍↕️

today was the first day going back to studying, and it went quite well. I had some verb related exercises to do left from my last class back in August and I finished them, as well as worked in the unit's vocab and text. Took around 2h and it felt quite good to be back!

Had a bit of a rough morning tho, I wanted to go study at a library, and I have a small neighborhood one close by, and then the main city center one. Well, when I tell you every single table in both of them was busy :'D Ended up going back home to study, but to not leave empty-handed I found Little Women in easy Finnish and I couldn't resist. Will see if I'm able to read it!

Last full week in Finland, but we're still showing up (if I stay home too much I'll go insane so 🙂‍↕️)

Not super productive day cause there were lots and i mean lots of kids running around and also for some reason cold air was coming out of the vents?? I was freezing lol, but managed to finish the podcast episode transcript, listened to it twice, and also started reading Hamlet, quite fast to do so, I'm already at 66%! Happy about that, I'm really enjoying reading these days, pretty sad I won't have access to the books in easy finnish when I go back home :(

not big day for studying today, but i still wanted to make an update because i got a job interview!! somehow!!

I'm honestly not getting my hopes up because its way easier to hire someone who can work immediately and not me, since i would have to do paperwork and its an "entry level no studies minimum wage" kinda job, but it was still surprising to get the email. it's on tuesday, so wish me luck!
