I think there couldve been a beejpeg episode post war where the plot is bj starts finding what he thinks are clues that peg is secretly seeing another woman, like a flirty letter and a suspiciously long girls night and the way peg talks about how she was such a great help with erin while he was gone and how she doesnt know what she wouldve done without her. you see where I'm going with this. so he's off to races projecting on her and getting increasingly beejy about it, till it spills out to peg and they, being mirrors to each other, convince each other that it's all okay just a misinterpretation of events and feelings... and then they bond talking about how lucky they were to have these amazing friends during that hard time and totally dont have strange intense feelings in the aftermath. but then after that conversation, they seperately start Thinking about it being like "haha what a crazy notion... I just love [them] a lot. platonically... there were times of course,... but no. naah. unless 😳" and then the episode ends
