i really loved your meta on amber/house, but the particular thing that struck me was how you wrote about it being the death of wilson's shot at an ordinary nuclear family. whenever i see wilson driving in his volvo (family car, spacious, marketed to be safe and reliable, grey and blending in with societal expectations), i get a bit sad because it shows wilson... has sort of always prepared for a future like that, be it by own choice or societal pressure. idk what i want to say, but i am mostly just agreeing with your take that this has been a wish of his. (and i am also a gay!wilson truther <3)
oh I love this so much, sorry it took me so long to respond, it was just so perfect
his volvo… it makes me think of his guilt and repression around his true desires, like with the waterbed. Or the way he talks about a family in s8, in The C-Word. Because it was never going to be like that…
Not quite sure where I'm going with this either, but yeah yeah yeah I love this
