[since last week, something’s been going on. occasionally, a few of the rooms in the institute become… weird. the archives seem to be especially affected. however, the changes seem to be a little consistent, despite their strange nature.]

[bright green eyes grow on a plethora of random objects, including furniture, books, office supplies. many cried when their favorite pens became biohazards. no one can sneak past them, either— no matter where you are in the room, they’re always watching. you get used to that feeling after working in the institute long enough, but the eyes— they’re more intense. harsh. definitely not passive. marcus from research tried staring at one for an extended period of time, and well— he’s not keen to share what happened. he’s started calling his sister more often though, so it’s… something?]

[flowers, usually marigolds, pop up as well. you’d think this would be a welcome, happy change from before, but not really. they’re always wilted and dead, and always forming the shape of a coffin on the ground. some idiots tried lying in them. well—they aren’t dead, but they are noticeably more morbid.]

[then there’s the paint. they… change things. move the walls, make the room upside down, make you see people or things that weren’t there before— you only know it’s fake if you touch it and it falls away as paint. shouldn’t do that too often, though. carol from the library, who is rather unlucky when it comes to the game of “choose a room to work in and pray that it doesn’t become Weird”, relied on this method far too often, and now she’s struggling to find her way through the institute’s hallways.]

[they’ve been causing a lot of trouble, if we’re being frank. elias says the problem will be dealt with eventually, but how long will eventually take? how long until things are back to normal.]
