Belladonna Girl, Chapter Eight: Who We Leave Behind

Summary: Gloria is sure that her best friend’s brother won’t ever endorse them for the Gym Challenge, so when she has a chance encounter with the vice president of Macro Cosmos, she convinces Oleana to endorse her instead. Hop sees this as a betrayal. Gloria sees it as an opportunity. Bede only sees it as gaining competition for Rose’s praise–but, as the children find out, there’s more at stake in Galar than just the gym challenge.

Warnings: implied/referenced suicide, which is brought up in the fic immediately in Chapter One, is mentioned in later chapters, and will be mentioned again in future chapters, so be cautious if this is something you’re sensitive to.
