So, I have just had the realisation as to why Parker knows Good King Wenceslas but not A Christmas Carol. (As discovered much to Bree's confusion in The Scared Stiff Job)

It's not because she's 'not much of a reader' like she said, It's because she was an orphan out on the streets of New York when she was a child. She would not have had much, if any, access to books and films during that time, but she would have heard carolers out and about throughout the city and its parks at Christmastime.

Still not an excuse as to why she still doesn't know about it (Hardison, why have you not gotten her to watch the Muppet's version in all this time?), but it's certainly an explanation as to why she would know the carol but not the story.
